WHO WE ARE (VISION):
Calvary Chapel Las Vegas is a community of Christians who desire to know Jesus and to make Him known in Las Vegas and around the world.
WHAT WE DO (MISSION):
We seek to lead people in the worship of God, and to equip their faith so that they passionately reach the city of Las Vegas and impact the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
· Worship our God God has created the church for the primary purpose of worshiping Him. Worshiping God means affirming His worth, expressing our adoration, surrendering our lives to His will, studying His Word, giving generously and serving Him with all our hearts. This is the first and most important purpose for God’s people.
· Equip our Church We believe that God’s intention for the church is to shape believers into the image of Jesus Christ and equip them for the work of the ministry. Therefore, we place great emphasis on the verse-by-verse teaching of God’s Word, prayer, authentic relationships, and raising up a new generation of worshipers and servant leaders.
· Reach Las Vegas
We believe God has blessed us with the opportunity to shine the light of Christ in a city that is notorious for sin. We focus on bringing the message of Jesus to Las Vegas through our worship services, radio ministry, raising the next generation of leaders in our youth ministries and Christian School, and mobilizing the church to share their faith by way of local outreach and evangelism opportunities.
· Impact the World We believe that Christ’s commission to preach the gospel is global as well as local. Therefore, we place a strong emphasis on church planting and global missions with the intention of preaching the Gospel until all have heard. We strive to fulfill this global calling by planting churches, preparing pastors, training ministry leaders, sending missionaries, raising up worship leaders and collaborating with global para-church organizations.

We are committed to being a God glorifying, Christ centered, Biblically based, Spirit led, ceaselessly praying, community serving, diversity embracing, and an excellence striving church that is filled with God’s love.

Leader Bio:
Pastor Derek gave his life to Christ in 1992 at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa while attending UC Irvine. His desire to serve God full-time led him to attend Calvary Chapel Bible College where he also served on staff upon graduating. It was during this time that he met his wife, Rachel. They went on to plant a church in Bedford, New Hampshire, and served there for six years. In 2007, they were called by God to move to Las Vegas with their three children, Alec, Hanna, and Levi. Pastor Derek currently serves as the senior pastor of Calvary Chapel Las Vegas and Rachel Neider serves as the Women’s Ministry Director.
