At Chalmers Presbyterian Church, we love and worship God, who exists eternally as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe that humans were made in God’s image to know, love and serve God. For this reason humans will always feel something is missing until they know God.
The Bible tells us that we are all disconnected from God because we have turned away from him and rebelled against his rightful rule over our lives. The Bible calls this sin, and it creates a division between God and humanity.
However, in God’s perfect, true and unchanging Word we meet the saviour of the world, the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the God-man who bridges the gap between God and man.
At Chalmers we believe that Jesus is the only way to know and enjoy God. Salvation is found in Jesus alone. So we rejoice that Jesus died as a sacrifice in our place, and rose again bodily from the grave, declaring victory over sin, death and Satan.
If you join us at Chalmers you can expect to hear more about Jesus from God’s Word. We are passionate to learn more about Christ, and to live his way in his world. Our goal at Chalmers is to engage with the Bible and to apply it to real life.
