Who we are
At Christ Church Cathedral we seek to share God’s unconditional love of all people regardless of age, race, sex, marital or family status, sexual orientation, ability or wealth. Every endeavour is made to make Christ Church a safe place for all. We discourage being judgemental, but seek to affirm one another as equally loved by God.

Children’s Ministry
Children are an important part of our life together at the Cathedral and we work hard to make sure they are made to feel welcome in all that we do.
There are a number of young children at the Cathedral, who join us for the first part of our worship together and listen, with the whole congregation, to the scriptures being read. After a special children’s time at the front of the Cathedral, every second week the children make their way to the Harbour Room for supervised activities while the adults remain in the Cathedral for the sermon. During the dry season, the children sometimes do their activities in the beautiful Cathedral grounds, under the trees.
We believe that everyone is invited to God’s table, and children are most welcome to receive the bread and wine of holy communion if they wish. When numbers warrant, Preparation for Admission to Holy Communion classes are held.
All our Children’s Ministry assistants are required to have an ochre card in line with NT Government legislation and Diocesan Policy.
