Who we are
Welcome to the Church of the Transfiguration. The first thing we would have you know is that you are welcome in this place, no exceptions. Whether you are visiting from the local community or from out-of-town, new to the Christian faith, or seeking a Church home, we invite you to come and see what we are all about.
There are no outcasts here as we are an open and affirming congregation to all people. We encourage the diversity among us, for we find it a source of vitality. We are an Episcopal Church, yet we have members from all religious traditions; many of us had no church involvement before coming to Church of the Transfiguration. We invite you, with your loved ones and friends to come and be with us in community and worship in a place where "all are to be welcomed as Christ".
Welcome to our website and I hope you will find it helpful in knowing who we are and what is offered to those who are looking for a Christian community that welcomes everyone! We believe that everyone who enters these doors is God's guest. Transfiguration strives to be a church where, as St. Benedict said, "All are to be welcomed as Christ." We hope that all who come here will find our worship joyful, and the people welcoming.
We try to respond to everyone's needs and to offer opportunities for Worship, Education, fellowship, and Service for adults and children. Also, a trained worker staffs our Nursery, located on the lower level, from 9:50 A.M. till the end of the 10:15 service. Of course, children are always welcome in the service with their family. From September - May we offer our Chilren's Chapel for children ages 4-12 or 13, during our 10:15 A.M. worship service. Our Adult Forum meets year round at 9:00 A.M.
Thank you for your interest in this congregation. We hope you will "come and see". In the meantime, if you would like information about participating more fully in the life of the church or have questions or needs to which we may respond, please call me at the church office at 636-561-8951, or E-mail at [email protected].

Teach me
Teach me, O God, to use all the circumstances of my life to-day that they may bring forth in me the fruits of holiness rather than the fruits of sin. Let me use disappointment as material for patience: Let me use success as material for thankfulness: Let me use suspence as material for perseverance: Let me use danger as material for courage: Let me use reproach as material for longsuffering: Let me use praise as material for humility: Let me use pleasures as material for temperance: Let me use pains as material for endurance.
