Who we are
WELCOME to First Baptist Church of Henderson!
Here at FBC Jesus Christ has the preeminence. His word is taught and preached. His praises are sung, and His brethren are loved. It is our sincere duty to “feed the flock of God” with the systematic teaching of God’s word through verse by verse and topical exposition. It is our goal to rightly divide the word of truth by teaching scripture with scripture thereby producing disciples of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Also, FBC is a grace ministering church. The fruit of one’s spirituality is not discerned by what a person looks like on the outside, but rather, it is discerned by the fruits of one’s heart. The Spirit produces the fruit of love, joy and peace in the life of a believer; He does not produce the fruit of hairstyles and dress codes. Standards and convictions are important since we are to be moderate and temperate as Christians; however, they are not law to the believers. The peace and grace of God is to rule in our hearts and therefore we strive to minister to the saints with the grace and love that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
