We are a church that is Upward in worship. We believe that God deserves our worship because of his great love for us.
We are a church with an inward commitment. The bible teaches us that he demonstrated his love for us on the cross and committed his life for our sake. Our response to that great act is to live committed for his honor and glory.
We are a church that is Outward in Evangelism. We know, that this great love God has for us is not for a certain group of people but for the whole world. Our passion is to make his love and grace available in Huntington Station and Long Island. There is no greater mission than to share the greatness of God's love.

Pastor Dan is the third and only son of four children born on May 23, 1982 to Josue and Damaris Rivera. A fourth generation Puerto Rican, Pentecostal Church Kid, who grew up in Elmont, NY and into a Christ centered ministerial home. He was privileged to learn and to trust the Lord at a very young age as he trained as a Royal Ranger and in Sunday school. In his early teens, he was baptized in the waters and in the Holy Spirit.
After graduating High school, Dan became passionate about reaching and teaching young people. He successfully served as youth pastor for 10 years at Elohim Christian Church and with the blessing of his Pastor, the Rev. Carlos Medina was credentialed by the Spanish Eastern District of the Assemblies of God and later sent into ministry at Huntington Assembly of God Church.
At the age of 24, Pastor Dan married his beautiful wife Damaris on July 29, 2006, and have 3 wonderful children; Junior, Sarah, and Lucas. As a family they enjoy each other and love to serve the church and the community. Their love for God, Church and Community is the main focus in their heart; to reach the least, the last and the lost. Their mission is simply to love and to serve in the best way possible. Therefore, Dan is presently pursuing his Masters in religion at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary.
Pastor Damaris was also born and raised in the Gospel. Her parents; Luis and Esther Ruiz, taught her the importance of loving God and serving His church. From a young age she was leading young people and serving in the church alongside her parents. Born in Colombia, raised in Florida and living in New York she has seen God’s hand with her family as they worked to build a better life for her and her sister. That dedication to family is something that Damaris values and continues to make a priority as she serves the church. She is a caring and loving person who is truly committed to empowering and building up God’s people. She is a worshipper at heart and loves to sing.
Pastor Dan and Damaris value family and love spending time with the kids on vacation! Dan loves sports (Yankees, Knicks and Jets). Damaris enjoys a stroll to the mall, a great sale, sun, beach and warm weather! The children like all others, love to play, get into trouble and enjoy being together.
Pastor Dan and Damaris were God led to ministry here at Huntington Assembly of God, in 2015. They have faithfully served as Associate/youth pastors under the ministry of Pastors Neal & Connie Frye. The Frye’s have lovingly guided, mentored and given them the opportunity to grow in ministry. As a result, Pastor Dan left his career as the Vice President of Technical services at BIA in 2017, to go into full time ministry. The Church has honored them through election to serve in the capacity of their calling as Senior Pastors of Huntington Assembly of God on February 18th 2018, to the glory of God the Father, His Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. Amen!

We exist to encourage, disciple and equip young people to move forward, past their history, failures and doubt, into a life of hope, in, for and by Christ.
Our goal is to build young people in their faith through relational mentorship. We believe through those relationships God will create an avenue of growth to share their faith, become leaders and fall in love with Christ.
We meet Fridays at 8pm. All are welcome. Click on the Forward youth ministry logo to see everything thats happening on IG.
