Who we are
Our large Sunday gathering together each week at 10.30 am is formed out of a desire to see the congregation shaped by the gospel, immersing them in the story every week, enabling the body to remember who our Father is, what he’s done in Christ, and what he promises about our future. Together we celebrate Christ’s victory, consider our commitment to him and to one another, and we are sent out once again on his mission in the power of the Holy Spirit.

About the end of February, 1900, H.D.Smith and Jas.Manning, at the instance of the Churches of Christ Home Mission Committee, visited the mining centres of Moonta, Wallaroo, and Kadina, to report on them as fields for evangelistic labor.
As a result of their report, in August following, W.A.Keay was sent up to commence operations in Kadina. The first meeting to "break bread" was held on the 5th of that month, when fourteen members were present.
The Rechabite Hall (presently the Senior Citizens Club hall) was first used on August 12th 1900. Following the close of the 11am meeting, minutes were recorded of the formalising and organisation of the Church of Christ in Kadina.
A Sunday School was established on 12th August, 1900 and soon had 107 scholars attending. An Endeavour Society was inaugurated 21st July, 1902 with 35 members. Up to July 31st, 1902, 92 persons had been added to the church.
