Who we are
We are a congregation in this specific location of Christ's church. We are not a denomination nor are we inter-denominational. We wear no other name than Christ's and are simply known as christians, members of the body of Christ--the Church of Christ. Our example is that of the Lord's people in the first century (Acts 11:26; 1 Peter 4:16; Romans 16:16; Colossians 1:18; Ephesians 1:22, 23).
We strive to be the church mentioned in the New Testament. When one hears, believes, obeys the gospel, and is guided by the teachings of the New Testament, one is simply a christian--nothing more and nothing less (Acts 11:26; Matthew 28:18-20). We are human and we make mistakes. If it is possible to be wrong in the application of the Scriptures and if we can be shown to be wrong by the Scriptures, we are willing and anxious to change in order to follow the scriptures accurately.
We have no human authority. There is no man or group of men who are earthly authorities of Christ's church. Christ is the head of the church (Ephesians 1:22). According to the Word of Christ, when a congregation matures to a point where men meet the qualifications, overseers (also called pastors, elders, shepherds) are appointed to look after the spiritual welfare of the congregation. Such men are appointed by the local congregation when they are determined to be qualified (1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9). They are to feed the flock (spiritual food) and to be living examples (1 Peter 5:1-3). Deacons are also appointed by the local congregation to care for the physical needs that arise for the local church to attend to (1 Timothy 3:8, 12, 13).
The Bible is our Guide to living as God would want us to live. We have no man-written creed books to follow. We are led in faith and conduct by the Bible alone. We recognize the guiding principles of the Old Testament, but seek to conform to the teachings of the New Testament (1 Corinthians 10:4; Hebrews 1:1,2; 1 Peter 4:11). The Bible is the inspired Word of God and is not open to one's own interpretation (2 Peter 1:20,21).
We plea for unity among all who obediently respond to the doctrine and commandments of the New Testament. Jesus prayed for unity among believers( John 17:20,21). Paul spoke of the oneness that characterizes believers (Ephesians 4:1-6). If we refrain from adding to and or taking away from the Word of God, there can be unity among all who profess to be followers of Jesus.
We preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and encourage hearers to respond in obedience to the Gospel (2 Thessalonians 1:6-8; 1 Peter 4:17). We have the words of Christ telling his disciples what to preach and what the response should be to their message (Mark 16:15,16). After one obeys the Gospel, our goal is to encourage the newborn christian to live as God would want them to live (Colossians 3; Ephesians 4:1).

Help my unbelief
Dear God, help my unbelief. When I'm in pain, I forget that you care about me. I forget that you have helped me through my trials. I forget that you hold me in your arms to keep me safe. I forget that you are feeling my pain with me. I forget that you love me, I forget that I am important to you. Show me your presence - let me feel your enveloping love. Heal my hurting soul. Thank you for staying with me even in my unbelief.
