Welcome to a positive thinking Church! It is our deep conviction that people ought to leave a worship service feeling blessed and uplifted, and better than they felt when they came in. Rev. Dr. Anthony J. Godlefski (Pastor Tony) is the Senior Pastor of the Montgomery United Methodist Church in Belle Mead, NJ. (WelcomeChurch.net) He has been the minister of this Church since 1998.
He holds degrees from Drew Theological Seminary (M. Div., and Dr. Min.) and Princeton’s Westminster Choir College (B. Mus., cum laude). His mentors include Dr. Norman Vincent Peale and Dr. Robert H. Schuller.
Pastor Tony grew up in Linden, NJ, and was active in the Christian Church from his earliest years. He was a member of St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic Church in Linden, where he was an altar server. He became an organist of that Church when he was 11, and has been a Church musician ever since.
He joined the United Methodist Church at age 19, and felt called to Christian ministry a few years later.
Pastor Tony believes that the Church exists to give people hope and encouragement through Jesus Christ, and to help people draw nearer to the love of God.
Rev. Godlefski has served as Pastor of United Methodist Churches since 1977.

• St. Paul’s & Wesley UMC, Roselle, NJ, 1978-1982;
• Christ UMC, Piscataway, NJ 1982-1998;
• Montgomery UMC, Belle Mead, NJ, 1998-Present.
He also serves as the Church’s Music Director, and conducts the adult Chancel Choir.
Pastor Tony loves to sing and make music on the piano and organ, and arranges music for choirs. His principal musical expression is as a choral conductor and vocal teacher.
He also enjoys watercolor and oil painting, calligraphy, and photography. Â
