Derek McCutcheon is our dynamic senior pastor with over 20 years of ministry experience. His predominant focus has been on ministering to young people in schools and churches, as well as empowering and coaching youth leaders and church planters around the country.
He is passionate about spiritual development and loves sharing the Bible and the Adventist message in a modern day context that excites people to become enthusiastic followers of Jesus. He believes that church planting is the best way to ‘seek and save’ and is constantly working at inspiring people to follow the Spirit’s leading to re-ignite the passion of the early church found in the book of Acts.
He is married to Julie and has two daughters Michaela and Kaitlyn. His hobbies include reading, writing, playing/inventing board games and all things AFL.
He is excited to help North Perth Church on their continuing journey to love God (Reach Up), care for each other (Reach In) and help inspire others in the community to do the same (Reach Out).

Our church caters for children each week by providing Sabbath school classes for several age groups:
Teens (ages 10-16)
Primary (ages 6-9)
Kindergarten (ages 3-5)
Beginners (for parents with infants 0-2 yrs)
The weekly children Sabbath school (Bible study) classes each week from 9:30-10:30 and contain songs, crafts, quizzes, games and Bible stories.
Children are invited to join their parents during the church service where there will be a children's story for them.
