Who we are
St. Catherine of Siena Parish is the newest Roman Catholic Parish in the Diocese of Hamilton, formed out of the union of Corpus Christi and Our Lady of Lourdes Parishes on June 28th, 2017. We still offer Mass and serve the community from both Corpus Christi and Our Lady of Lourdes sites. The future plan is to build a new parish church in which everything will be unified.

Our Lady of Lourdes Church History
St. Catherine of Siena Parish was established on June 28, 2017 by Bishop Douglas Crosby, as the union of two parishes. These were Corpus Christi Parish and Our Lady of Lourdes Parish.
St. Catherine of Siena Parish: This is the newest Roman Catholic Parish in the Diocese of Hamilton. The name was selected with reference to St. Catherine as a bridge builder between communities. Fr. Mark Gatto was assigned as first Pastor along with Fr. David Reitzel as Associate Pastor.
The two previous parishes continue as Sites for this parish. A Building Committee was created in November 2017 with Deacon Tom Vert as Chair. Achim Klaas of Klaas Design was hired as Liturgical Consultant and Micheal Biljetina of ATA Architects Inc. was selected as Architect. Plans and Designs for the new church building are progressing. (see New Building Update Status on website for further information).
The new church will be on the south corner of Rymal Road and Sherman Road. Once it is built, the two previous sites will be closed and we will all be gathered together as one parish in one church. It will be the main Catholic Church serving the Catholic community south of Lincoln Alexander Expressway on Hamilton Mountain. We look forward to a vibrant future.
Our Lady of Lourdes Parish: Established 1958. Founding Pastor: Fr. Clifford Day. 1958 was centennial of the apparitions at Lourdes, so Our Lady of Lourdes was chosen as name and patroness of the parish. Church building blessed by Bishop Joseph Ryan on May 24, 1959.

Put me to what You will
Lord, I am no longer my own, but Yours. Put me to what You will, rank me with whom You will. Let be employed by You or laid aside for You, exalted for You or brought low by You. Let me have all things, let me have nothing, I freely and heartily yield all things to Your pleasure and disposal. And now, O glorious and blessed God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, You are mine and I am Yours. So be it. Amen.
