Who we are
St. Peter Church and School
St. Peter was started in 2006 by Pastor Robert Balduc as a church plant out of Peace Lutheran church in Hurst. After worshiping in the Roanoke recreation center for four years, St. Peter was able to purchase 10 acres of land and built its first facility along with beginning its Preschool.
In 2012 St. Peter planted The Vine church in Grapevine and in 2013 built its Barn. It was also in 2013 that St. Peter transitioned to a co-vocational staffing strategy providing the space for people to do other things in life beyond their work at the church. This has proven to be a very successful approach by providing more resources for the work of the church as well as greater engagement in ministry by the “priesthood of all believers.”
In 2020 St. Peter planted its second church, The Grove church in Argyle, and in 2022 purchased 6 additional acres of land. St. Peter is now building its newest facility to expand its Preschool and establish a Christian elementary school for the 2025-26 school year. Additionally, St. Peter is partnering with the Greater Northwest Soccer Association to develop multiple sports fields on its property.
St. Peter will continue to be bold, entrepreneurial, and mission-minded in advancing the Kingdom of God for His glory!
We are part of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod.

With us night and morning
By gracious powers so wonderfully sheltered, and confidently waiting come what may, we know that God is with us night and morning, and never fails to greet us each new day. Yet is this heart by its old foe tormented, still evil days bring burdens hard to bear; Oh, give our frightened souls the sure salvation for which, O Lord, You taught us to prepare. And when this cup You give is filled to brimming with bitter suffering, hard to understand, we take it thankfully and without trembling, out of so good and so beloved a hand. Yet when again in this same world You give us the joy we had, the brightness of Your Sun, we shall remember all the days we lived through, and our whole life shall then be Yours alone.
