Welcome to the National Shrine of Saint Thérèse, Juneau, a ministry of the Catholic Diocese of Juneau, Alaska. We invite you to experience the peace and serenity of this sacred place of refuge and retreat.
The National Shrine of St. Thérèse, Juneau, is located approximately 22 miles north of downtown Juneau. The Shrine has welcomed people of all faiths and all corners of the world for over 75 years.
Mission
Located in an area of exceptional beauty and solitude, the Shrine will be a place of spiritual refuge and retreat for the Diocese of Juneau, other religious groups, and when possible, for other groups utilizing it with reverence and care.
Our hours are 8:00 am - 10:00 pm in the Summer months (May - September), and 8:00 am - 8:00 pm in the Winter months (October- April).

The National Shrine of St. Therese, Juneau, offers five rental cabins ranging from the small and rustic Hermitage to the beautifully appointed Little Flower Retreat Cabin. Please see the description below for more information about occupancy limits and availability. Reservation requests are accepted 6 months in advance of your stay. We invite you to experience the peace and serenity that can only be experienced by an extended stay at the Shrine.

With us night and morning
By gracious powers so wonderfully sheltered, and confidently waiting come what may, we know that God is with us night and morning, and never fails to greet us each new day. Yet is this heart by its old foe tormented, still evil days bring burdens hard to bear; Oh, give our frightened souls the sure salvation for which, O Lord, You taught us to prepare. And when this cup You give is filled to brimming with bitter suffering, hard to understand, we take it thankfully and without trembling, out of so good and so beloved a hand. Yet when again in this same world You give us the joy we had, the brightness of Your Sun, we shall remember all the days we lived through, and our whole life shall then be Yours alone.
