Who we are
St Michael’s Church is the most northerly of the seven parishes of South Holderness Coastal Benefice, and contains the three scattered hamlets of Garton, Grimston and Fitling.
St Michael's is a traditional church using only the Book of Common Prayer, the King James Bible, and Hymns Ancient and Modern for every service.
Regular special services include Plough Sunday in January (with a guest speaker and attended by civic heads), St Michael's Day in September, Harvest Festival in October, and a Midnight Mass by candlelight on 24 December. The Deanery Choir also visits around 4 times a year for Choral Evensong.
The church building dates from the 13th century and is supported by the thriving Friends of St Michael's (a registered charity) whose members come from all over East Yorkshire and in some cases from several countries around the world.
The Friends organise a popular cricket match every year and in 2014 the Friends ran the inaugural Strawberry Tea in June and a Crafts Fair in August. The Friends also organise a Christmas Music Concert in December.

... to reflect Your love
Lord, make my life a window for Your light to shine through and a mirror to reflect Your love to all I meet. Amen.
