SUNDAY MORNING WORSHIP 10:00 a.m.
Refreshments 11:15 am
Sunday School for all ages 11:30 am
We would love for you to join us for worship on a Sunday morning. We know that it can be intimidating to visit a new church for the first time and we want to do our best to help you feel as welcome and comfortable as possible.
Our worship normally includes singing. Our songs reflect a variety of different music styles, ranging from hymns to new worship music. Sometimes we sing from a hymnal, sometimes from words projected on the front wall. You are welcome to join in, but if you would rather just listen please feel free to do so.
Occasionally our worship includes drama, special music or other presentations. We celebrate the Lord’s Supper – or Holy Communion – about four times a year.
At some point in the service people are given an opportunity to say something about what God is doing in their lives and also to share a joy or concern for us to pray about – and then we pray.
We will pass offering plates, but please do not feel obligated to give a donation to the church unless you are certain that you would like to support us in this way. We want you to have freedom to get to know us without feeling pressured into making any commitments – financial or otherwise.
We value children of all ages in our worship service and usually include a special time for the children to come forward for a story or mini-message. Every few weeks, the children are given an opportunity to collect a “loose-change” offering by circulating through the congregation. Throughout the year, this money gets directed to various projects – such as the North Huron Food share or an international relief effort.
Our Pastor, a member of the congregation or a guest speaker typically offers a Bible-based message for about twenty-five minutes. The message focuses on helping us hear God speak into our daily lives and growing in our faithfulness to Jesus and his mission in the world.
The worship service is normally about an hour and a quarter long, after which adults are invited to stay for coffee. Adult and Children's Sunday School follows this time.
We hope you join us! We will do our best to make you feel at home.

Brussels Mennonite Fellowship History
Located at 239 Turnberry St. at the north end of the village of Brussels, the congregation began services in January 1980 with six core families that had been part of the Listowel Mennonite Church and Dungannon Christian Fellowship. In effect the Listowel congregation planted the Brussels congregation at a time when its own space was crowded. Brian Laverty, pastor at Listowel, provided leadership for the first half year. Doug Zehr began pastoral responsibilities in July 1980. The congregation purchased a home in June 1981 and renovated it for worship. The formal organization and charter membership took place in 1981.
In 1984 a chapel and basement were added. In 1987 an addition was made of a fellowship hall, kitchen and office.
