GRACE
God loves us…

And he loves us even though we do not deserve his love because of our rebellion against him. In fact, he loves us so much that he sent his son, Jesus Christ, to die in our place – to pay the penalty for our sin. That is what the bible means by grace. It’s God’s riches at Christ’s expense. And it’s undeserved. And it has the power to change everything. If you want to read a verse or two in the Bible about it, look up Ephesians 2:4-10 or Romans 5:8.

WORSHIP God

Worship begins to happen when we respond to grace by investigating and responding to God’s great love for us. We do that by building a loving, growing relationship with him. The more we understand and experience his grace, the more we will desire to love God with all of our heart, mind, and soul. Worship includes singing, praying, and giving, but it really is a total life experience. When it comes to worship, Romans 12:1-2 help to set the foundation for us.

Become part of His FAMILY

When you respond to God’s grace, you become part of a new family – the family of God (see John 1:12 & Matthew 12:46-50). By family, we mean that we belong to one another and that we are designed to do the Jesus-centered life together — not alone or apart. We want to grow in our love for one another as brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ.

Extend His KINGDOM

When we use the term Kingdom, we are talking about sharing God’s transforming grace with others around us, in the city, and around the world, just as God shared it with us in his Son, Jesus Christ. This includes both acts of mercy and justice as well as verbally telling people about Jesus Christ and how they can be saved by his life, death, and resurrection. Want to read for yourself what Jesus has to say about the Kingdom of God? Check out Mark 1:15, Matthew 6:10, and Matthew 6:33. Another set of foundational verses for us in this area is 2 Corinthians 5:17-19.

Christian Assembly is located in the Eagle Rock neighborhood which is in between Pasadena and Glendale, near the 134 and 2 freeway. The main intersection of our campus is Colorado Blvd. and Ellenwood Dr.

We have resumed indoor services! Our Service Times are currently Saturdays 6pm, Sundays 9am, 11:15am & 6pm (Fusion).

All services except Fusion/Sun.6pm are in the South Sanctuary (2424 Colorado Blvd). Fusion Sunday 6pm Service is in the North Sanctuary (2435 Colorado Blvd).

You will NOT need to RSVP for our indoor services or Kids Church. Masks are required for ages 2 and older (with exception to those with medical exemptions) due to the LA County Mask Mandate for indoors (July 17). Social distancing is not required in our weekend services.

We will continue to offer our online weekend service which will be available on Sundays at 9am. Likewise, Kids Church and Student Ministries will continue to offer online options.

Casual and comfortable. You’ll see people wearing everything from shorts and flip-flops or jeans and t-shirts to nice slacks and dresses. It’s up to you. Come as you are.

Christian Assembly started out with a few people in a small group years ago out of the Azusa Street Revival movement. It actually was called “Italian Christian Assembly” when the church first began as the first members mainly consisted of Italians in the area. The church has a history of thinking outwardly as one day when the church bus was driving about town, people asked if they could come to the church. That’s when the name changed! Literally, the word “Italian” was painted over on the bus and the church name of “Christian Assembly” was established. The culture of being a welcoming and open place to everyone is something that has stayed with our community of faith through the many years.
