Who we are
Flagstaff Bible Church is a group of people striving to bring GOD glory in all that we are and do. We do that by DECLARING HIS WORD, DISCIPLING HIS PEOPLE, and DISPLAYING HIS LOVE.
Our DNA
We’re super thankful you’re taking time to check out Flagstaff Bible Church! It’s our desire and hope that you find a warm and welcoming church family. From our greeters, to children’s volunteers and fresh coffee, our passion is to love God and love others well.
And our DNA is not terribly complex. We’re a non-denominational church that is excited about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We are rooted in and teach from the Bible in a way that might be characterized as “contemporary without compromise.” Our music is upbeat with the goal of taking us vertical—reconnecting us with our Father who loves us like crazy and longs for relationship with us.
We often summarize our purpose in the following three parts—we exist to glorify God by: declaring His Word, discipling His people and, displaying His love.

Joel has been serving the Lord through church and para-church organizations for the last 25 years, receiving his bachelor’s degree from Wheaton College and his Master of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Although headed toward law and politics, a 10-week mission trip to Amsterdam changed everything.
For the last 21 years he has served in a variety of ministry roles. He married his high-school sweetheart, Jill, and has been blessed with five amazing daughters. In addition to loving their work at the church, the family enjoys the outdoors, playing cards, chess, reading, cheering each other on in sports and theater activities and all things coffee and chocolate. In the midst his best and worst moments, Joel’s Gospel hope and ministry passion is rooted in the words of Hebrews 6:9: “Beloved, we are convinced of better things concerning you!”
Their family is thrilled that the Lord has brought them to be a part of God’s work in Flagstaff.

(Little ones through age two can be checked in to the nursery.)
You are also invited to stay late after AM service or come early before PM service for crafts and cookies in the cafe!
