Who we are
Mission Statement
We, the members of McCormick First Baptist Church, believe our God given mission falls under the following headings.
Worship and Praise Our Savior
We believe our first responsibility is to honor our Lord throughout all areas of our life. Corporately, we do this through praise, prayer and proclamation of His Word.
Evangelize Our World
We believe that the root problem of mankind is a sin problem. It is sin that has broken man's fellowship with God. The Good News is that God has provided a means for the broken fellowship to be restored. He sent His Son to pay the penalty for our sins and to restore the broken fellowship. We believe that we have a responsibility to share this good news with others in a spirit of love.
Encourage and Help One Another
We believe that we are to be a source of encouragement to our Church Family and our community. Therefore we strive to be available to assist each other in any way that we can.
Equip for Service
Our equipping ministry involves three stages. First, we seek to assist our members in discovering their gifts. Second, we seek to assist them in developing their gifts. Third, we seek to assist them in deploying their gifts in ministry to the body.
