DESCRIPTION:Worship at Central Methodist Church, Launceston Sunday Services are at 10.30am and 6.30pm - and are led by a team of committed preachers and worship leaders. We'd love to meet you, so do come along! Worship is at the centre of what we are about at Central. Our desire is to have our lives touched by the Spirit of God as committed followers of The Lord Jesus Christ. Our services vary considerably in style, as our goal is to provide for people a worship style that is appropriate for them. On the first Sunday of each month there is a Community Breakfast at 9.30am followed at 10.30am by an All-Age Worship service - aimed at young families and children of all ages! The music style involves a combination of hymns and worship songs. A worship group with tracks leads the contemporary styled music. Once a month, we celebrate Holy Communion and invite everyone who is seeking God to participate. 10.30am Sunday Morning Worship: This starts with the whole church family together. After 15 minutes the children leave for Club Sunday (there is a creche for 1-3 year olds). (Club Sunday is a club for 4-11 year olds which takes place on the third Sunday of the month. Val invites you to come along at 10.30am and learn about God's love for us through games, stories, crafts and music with lots of fun!) Sunday Evening Worship Each Week 6.30pm: Usually on the 1st Sunday of the month we share Holy Communion. 6.30pm: on the 2nd, 4th and 5th Sundays 245 Alive worship in a contemporary style. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. 6.30 pm: Praise & Learning, a relaxed home group style of service with song, prayer and teaching on the 3rd Sunday on the month. Healing Service: On the first Tuesday of the month at 10 a.m. we have a healing service with Holy Communion. Music in Worship: In addition to our excellent worship band and organists, we have a singing group who often use good quality worship backing tracks.
