DESCRIPTION:Worship Services SUNDAY: Our Sunday service is held at 9:30 am. We gather on Sunday mornings at 9:30 am. The first, third and fifth Sundays of each month are Holy Communion, while the second and fourth are services of Morning Prayer. Both forms of worship include prayer, Bible readings, uplifting hymns and songs and a hope-filled message. THE CHRISTMAS SEASON: Christmas Eve we begin our celebration of this most Holy Night at 7:00 pm. with a service for families and children. At 9:00 p.m. we have a quieter more reflective service. On Christmas Day our service at 9:30 a.m. NEW YEAR’S EVE: On December 31st at 5:00 pm in the afternoon we hold a service of “Memories and Dreams”. This is a quiet, reflective service in which there is an opportunity to bring some closure to the year that is just ending, and to ask God’s blessing on our memories of what has been and on our hopes for what is to come. THE LENTEN AND EASTER SEASON: We begin our observation of Lent with an Ash Wednesday service held in the evening. During Holy week we offer Eucharist at mid-day on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. On Holy Thursday our service is in the evening with Eucharist. On Good Friday, at 11:00 am. there is a reading of the Passion and a Meditation of the Cross. Easter Sunday is a joyful celebration with Holy Eucharist and joyous music. ROGATION: In the Spring, around the time of the May 24th weekend, a time when we ask God’s blessing for the farms, farmers, animals and crops being planted. This service is normally held outside. HARVEST THANKSGIVING: Being a rural community, Harvest Thanksgiving is very significant. We celebrate with Holy Eucharist on the Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend. WEDDINGS AND BAPTISMS: Weddings and Baptisms are arranged through the Rector. Baptism are usually held within the Sunday Eucharist Service.
