NOTE:Pastor Alexis Twito grew up in Milwaukee and graduated from Rufus King High School. She was ordained in 2010, and has served at several churches prior to Advent, both in Moorhead MN and the Milwaukee area. Pastor Alexis loves to travel, and explore other cultures and has a deep interest in all kinds of people. Before entering seminary, she invested a year working with the homeless in Edinburgh, Scotland, through the ELCA’s Young Adults in Global Mission (YAGM) program. She has a deep and abiding passion for social justice and activism, going back to her teen years. Immediately prior to her call to Advent, Pastor Alexis spent five years living out her faith and passion for justice as she built and coordinated a ministry of chaplains with the Salvation Army, caring for people at some of the worst moments of their lives.
