NOTE:Lamb's Chapel has held a special place in Jay's heart since he joined the church in 1974. He is a hometown boy, who grew up on a farm just a mile north of the church, and has lived most of his life just a half mile south of Lamb’s. He was given the task of being a part-time pastor here in June 2001. Jay then took over the position of lead pastor. Jay's passion is studying and teaching the Bible. Superb teaching requires intense study. His curiosity and love of studying the Bible coupled with Jay's ability to take complex truths and transform them into easily understood lessons. This translates into his delivery of compelling sermons that not only teach us the whole of scripture, but always help us to understand how they apply to our lives today. This special talent allows individuals to quickly discover ways to successfully incorporate these timeless truths into their lives. Jay also has a heart for the less fortunate. He is fond of saying we don't really have any church programs at Lamb's. We just find hurting people and help them take their next step towards Christ. Jay and his wife Lynn have been married for 40 years. They have two adult daughters, as well as a son. Jay loves all the kids at Lamb’s and incorporates their participation into every service. Of course, he especially loves his own grandchildren, Greg and Lucia.
