Who we are
“But thanks be to God! For in union with Christ we are always led by God in Christ’s victory procession. God uses us to make the knowledge about Christ spread everywhere … because God has sent us we speak with sincerity in His presence as servants of Christ.” 2 Corinthians 2:14-17
What a joy and fulfilling journey it has been to:
See lives transformed and made new! See the growth to eight ministry centres under the umbrella of Churches of Christ AICF ‘mother’ Church. Walk with aboriginal Christians and churches and see them now making the decisions for the ministry to Indigenous Australia – we, now in a support role. Be part of the team of Churches of Christ members and churches who have enabled the growth of AICF by their prayer, support, finance, and hard work.
The expanse of the ministry has necessitated that much of the ‘formal’ administration work be processed in the Brisbane office, where both Lyle & Hazel work full time voluntarily from their home, while each Ministry Centre is still responsible for their local ministry.
The focus of the Brisbane office is:
Administration Support to Ministry Centres & staff AICCC Coach Rental Dispatch of used clothing Emergency & short-term accommodation Hospital visitation & support for remote area medical patients

Leader Bio:
In 1967 as Lyle graduated from the Churches of Christ Bible College in NSW we were invited to minister with the Aboriginal people at Eidsvold in Queensland. Eidsvold did not have a church, salary, or accommodation to offer, BUT they had faith. Following our marriage in February 1968, believing Proverbs 3:5,6 and trusting His provision we moved to Eidsvold.
What an honour to be God’s people, in God’s place, working with the Churches of Christ in Queensland, to see God at work, and the establishment of the Eidsvold Christian Centre.
Then after ten & a half years and the challenge of so many remote communities without the Gospel, God’s call was becoming clear. In close consultation with the FAB our family prepared to move to Normanton in the Gulf Country to an established AIM ministry without a Pastor. Before moving to that remote area we were to have 6 months in Brisbane to observe the ‘urban scene’ but instead we were called by the FAB to help with an interim ministry at Tamworth NSW.
The day before the road closure of the ‘big wet’ of 1979 we arrived with a caravan at Normanton. Two months later we got our gear! In the process of time the ministry and property came under the care of Churches of Christ. How we praise God for many who have shared in the growth of the Normanton Centre.
In 1987 we had to say goodbye to that growing ministry and its wonderful people and move to Brisbane for the higher education of our girls. Lyle was appointed as the AICF State Coordinator for the growing of the new vision for the development of the indigenous ministry with the Queensland State Conference.
How we Praise God for what He has done. At the time of our marriage we said: “Let us exalt His name together”.

Accept, O Lord
Accept, O Lord, my entire liberty, my memory, my understanding and my will. All that I am and have thou hast given to me; and I give all back to thee to be disposed of according to they good pleasure. Give me only the comfort of thy presence and the joy of thy love; with thee I shall be more than rich and shall desire nothing more.
