At Abundant Life, we like to think of growth in an organic sense, like a plant. For a plant to be well established, it needs deep roots. at the same time, it grows up and outward. We want to grow deep roots, being faithful to the teaching of Jesus Christ, and we want to grow outward, to meet, interact, and better our community, that everyone we meet would experience the love that we’ve experienced!

Abundant Life Church believes that worshipping God is at the heart of everything that we do. God has given us every good thing and we celebrate God’s character, attributes, and gifts, by singing, praying, working, and reading and studying the Christian Scriptures together.
We meet on Sunday mornings to do all of these things, but our worship doesn’t stop at Sunday. We meet in smaller groups all throughout the week to worship God together. Please come and join us!

2nd Wind for Moms
Every Wednesday, Moms from the community are invited to the church building to learn parenting skills, cooking, exercise, and just have a great time, all while their kids are cared for in a safe and loving environment. Please call the church office for more information or to enroll.
Bread Basket
At ALC, we recognize that there are all sorts of needs in our community. One of the ways we try to meet those needs is our Bread Basket program. Each Tuesday, church volunteers pick up, arrange, and distribute food to anyone in the neighbourhood who may need it. Our gym is filled with produce, canned goods, and bread for those who need it. This is one of the ways we see God's love in action here at ALC.

Children
During the Sunday service, we provide top-notch childcare for your little ones in the Nursery. If over 2 years of age, they learn Bible stories, life lessons, and have a great time in Sunday School.
Inn From the Cold
Inn From the Cold is our opportunity to house people for one night who have nowhere else to stay that evening. We are given the opportunity to house, feed, and provide a place to sleep to families who need it.
Women's Ministries
Our Women's Ministry group is a collection of women from different backgrounds with a common purpose: to see Jesus' love expressed to and by women. They organize trips, dinners, ministries and services in the church and the community, and give everything they do that "woman's touch!"
Youth
Our Sunday and Wednesday-night youth program is designed to give youth ages 12-18 a safe, fun environment where they can meet new friends and learn more about the God who loves them.
We also run programs for Seniors, Singles, and College-aged young adults. For more information on any of these programs, please contact the church office.

Abundant Life Chinese Baptist Church History
History
Abundant Life Church came about as the merger of two separate churches in 2007. Bethel Baptist Church was a largely Caucasian Baptist church with a long history in Calgary. Originally located in the heart of downtown Calgary, Bethel moved to the current church location in the late 1970’s. Wildrose Christian Church was a largely Filipino congregation meeting in a community centre in the Bridgeland area of Calgary. When Wildrose outgrew its facility, they began looking for a new “house,” and contacted Bethel, who had been renting to a number of different churches throughout the week. While rental was an attractive offer, God had something larger and more permanent in mind. Through prayer and a series of meetings, the two churches believed that together, God could use us more effectively. And so we began worshipping together in April, 2007, and later that year voted to become Abundant Life Church.
ALC is affiliated with the Baptist General Conference of Alberta and the Baptist General Conference of Canada.
