All Hallows Service Times
Sunday
Holy Communion
This service is where much of the long tradition of more structured worship at All Hallows continues. It’s a choral service, which means there are parts of the service other than just the hymns that are sung. We sing the Gloria, the Creed, the Sursum Corda and sometimes the Lord’s Prayer too! We’re helped in that by a small, but dedicated choir, ably led by Elaine Clarke.
Every second third fourth and fifth Sunday at 9:30 AM for 50 minutes
First Sunday
Most of these services follow the pattern of a ‘Service of the Word’, that’s to say they’re most often not a service of Holy Communion. We have a mix of contemporary songs and well-known hymns, accompanied by a small but enthusiastic music group. We quite often get everyone involved in making music by sharing out percussion instruments for one or more of the songs.
Every first Sunday at 10:30 AM for ¾ hour
Don’t Forget Your Cornflakes!
Don’t Forget Your Cornflakes! (DFYC) has been designed with the needs of young families in mind. We aim to make all that we do accessible for all, from the youngest to the oldest. It’s for all ages, but we unapologetically focus on the needs of young children. That doesn’t mean it’s just a Sunday school with adults included. We want to give people of all ages the opportunity to pray, have fun and enjoy being together with each other as well as learning. Learning is a part of it, but above all it’s about everyone from 9 months to 90 years worshipping together. We believe wholeheartedly in the spiritual value and significance of play for all. We put children at the heart of what we do because they are important and what’s more, they have much to teach adults about the freedom to be inquiring in a playful and imaginative way.
Every second third fourth and fifth Sunday at 10:30 AM for 1½ hours
