Who we are
Our Vision:
WORSHIPING THE ONE TRUE GOD
ABC encourages men and women to find their happiness in God through loving God and loving each other. The families of ABC gather together each Sunday and throughout the week to sing God's praises, to offer prayers to Him, to hear His revealed Word preached, and to compassionately care for one another.
We all serve side-by-side to promote the worship of Jesus in Rappahannock, Fauquier, and Culpeper Counties and to the ends of the earth. As all biblical congregations throughout history and across the globe, ABC exists to spread the worship of the one true, triune God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Leader Bio:
I am blessed to serve as the Senior Pastor of Amissville Baptist Church. Before being lead to ABC, I earned undergraduate degrees in Ancient History and French in 2007 from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. I earned my Master of Divinity degree from Southern Seminary in 2011 and my counseling certification from the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors in 2017. In 2023, I earned a PhD. in church history from Midwestern Theological Seminary.
After graduating from Southern Seminary, I served as a Hospital chaplain at Baptist Hospital East in Louisville, Kentucky and as the Associate Pastor of Preschool and Children at First Baptist Church Eastman, GA.
In October 2012, I married the glorious April Gentry. Sadly, my sweet bride died in June 2022 after a three-year battle with breast cancer. I now care for our three precious children as a single dad. We enjoy exploring the D.C area, watching and playing sports, and reading and writing.
My children and I would love to meet you and invite you to visit ABC this Sunday.
I also regularly blog at witkowskiblog.com and invite you to visit my website to gain a fuller understand of my heart for Jesus and of my vision for the local church. Â

Amissville Baptist Church History
Amissville Baptist Church is a historic and always reforming Southern Baptist Church. ABC was founded in 1888. Today we meet together to cultivate the worship of the one true God, through expository preaching, the sacraments, song, prayer, giving, and evangelism. In other words, we exist to glorify the triune God through biblically focused worship and living.

Come Lord Jesus!
Lord Jesus, master of both the light and the darkness, send your Holy Spirit upon our preparations for Christmas. We who have so much to do seek quiet spaces to hear your voice each day. We who are anxious over many things look forward to your coming among us. We who are blessed in so many ways long for the complete joy of your kingdom. We whose hearts are heavy seek the joy of your presence. We are your people, walking in darkness, yet seeking the light. To you we say, "Come Lord Jesus!"
