Who we are
We welcome newcomers warmly. Your visit is important to us. Whether you are looking to explore Christianity, seeking to grow in your faith, or searching for a new church home, we hope that you will find exactly what you are looking for at our church.
Our goal is that you will have a comfortable and enjoyable experience as you get to know who we are and what we are all about. Hospitality is something on which we place a high value. We have greeters and ushers available to answer any questions you may have. We hope you will join us for an hour of fellowship at our coffee hour after the 10:30 am worship service to get to know us better.
Worship Services
If you are curious about our church, we encourage you to visit us at our 10:30 am Sunday Service. Weekly highlights include a thoughtful sermon, children's message, special music, and public celebrations and prayer concerns brought by members of the community. We celebrate Holy Communion on the first Sunday of each month. After the service there is a fellowship hour in our church hall. We also offer a quieter weekly service at 8:30 am featuring Holy Communion each Sunday. We hope you will visit us for any of our special holiday services that occur during the year, including Ash Wednesday, Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas celebrations. We also welcome Baptisms at our church and can accomodate your special Wedding needs or memorial service for a loved one.
Sunday School and Child Care
Sunday School is held during the worship service. Children have an opportunity to attend the first part of the service and hear a special Children’s sermon before attending Sunday School downstairs. A caring and dedicated Christian Education Committee devotes its time and energy to developing quality children's and youth programs. Infant and toddler care is provided in the nursery on Sunday mornings during the worship service.
Getting Involved You'll find a variety of opportunities and ministries to help you grow and develop. We have wonderful children's programs, an active Missions Committee, music programs and a variety of projects and events that help to bring us together in service.
Joining The Church Membership in Arnold Mills United Methodist Church is open to all who believe in Christ. The congregation is made up of people with many diverse Christian heritages, as well as as many life-long Methodists. It's hard to get lost in the crowd here. We can respond well to individual needs because of our modest size. Members can choose their appropriate level of involvement. We receive newcomers warmly and new members are invited to join throughout the year. Our Pastor will be happy to help you prepare for membership.
