We are conservative to the extent that we do our very best to follow the complete teachings of the Bible. We are intentionally true to God's Word in our teaching, praying and outreach. We actually reach out and visit our neighbors and those who visit our church. We actually pray at our Wednesday night prayer meeting. We are trying to live out what The Bible teaches in our daily lives and teachings. If you want to know what you have been missing in church, maybe you should visit us. We try love you as much as Jesus does.

Leader Bio:
Dr. David Bowser has an earned Doctorate in Theology from Southern Indiana Baptist College. He chose Theology over many other options because he loves The Word of God. While his teaching and preaching is thoroughly studied, often explaining deep subjects, he presents it in a way everyone can understand. This is not dry, boring study, but rather fresh, insightful presentation of teachings and insight on Scripture. Messages generally start with a true biography or story applicable to the text. He continues to use characters, stories, and background to help us understand the real meaning and importance of what The Bible is saying to us. As a Pastor, he retains the down home manner of the boy from east Tennessee. He is very much one of us, treating everyone equally and respectfully. He has Pastored churches in various areas of the country over many years. Since coming to Berclair we have grown consistently in membership, knowledge of Christ and become more financially stable. He is working hard to help us each become more like Jesus and glorify Him. Â

We have a nursery for children up to three years old if desired.
We have Bible study classes for all ages each Sunday morning at 9:30.
We have Children's Church for our children from 4 years old to the sixth grade each Sunday morning during the worship service. Â

We try to be easily accessible to every person who may wish to attend. We have a good aluminum ramp and no barriers on our floors. Most classes are on the first floor, especially adult classes. Â

Berclair Baptist Church History
We started as a mission work on September 9, 1929. We chartered as Berclair Baptist Church on August 7, 1930. We have been at two prior locations in Berclair. We moved to our current location at the corner of Summer Avenue and Perkins in the early 50's, growing through three phases of our buildings by 1960. Our membership had declined by the 1990's to the extent we moved back into the smaller chapel where we still meet. Our attendance has doubled since our Lord sent Dr. David Bowser to be our Pastor in August, 2011. We are growing in membership and maturity in Christ, debt free and financially stable.

"Yes, Lord! Jesus, I give all of this to you. Jesus," I just started out a dream for my neighbourhood. "I didn't ask you to make me a messenger to the world. I just wanted to love my neighbours. But Jesus, here it is. Here's my future, here's my loneliness, here are all the pressures, here are the criticism", and I gave Him everything. And I told Him to take me again and I would try to make "Yes, Lord" the continuing motto of my life..
