Who we are
Bethany City Church is a motley crew of Christians and their friends who come together to worship God. Throughout the week we meet in all kinds of ways - and for all kinds of reasons – explore our website and you will see what we mean.
Though we began meeting in the Stadium of Light then the Quayside Exchange we now meet at our permanent home at Bede Tower. This is a handsome building with excellent facilities and a great location for our church to grow and reach the people of Sunderland.
Join us on a Sunday morning or evening and you will meet both established Christians and others who are just looking. Some of us have been Christians for years, others have just started the journey, and many are not too sure what they believe! Many are local people, but we are also quite international with people joining us from other parts of the world.

Bede Tower is located on Burdon Road SR2 7EA, set back behind a short wall, opposite the Indian restaurant, Vuvraaj, just up from Mowbray Park.
We are within walking distance of Park Lane Interchange (bus and train station) and about 15 minutes walk from Sunderland City Centre.

Within our grounds, there are around 50 parking spaces, including disabled parking. Burdon Road has free parking on a Sunday and up to 2hours free parking during the week; Mon-Sat.
