Who we are
Bethel Assembly of God began in 1945 in a little store building at the corner of Martinson and McCormick.
Now Bethel is located on South Meridian on 47 acres of land. Bethel loves people and wants to see God's love at work in each of their lives.
Bethel values people and from our weekly services to our annual Convoy of Hope event every August that reaches over 8,000 people, we want the people of Wichita, KS, to know that they matter to God and they matter to us.
Led by Pastors Ken and Danice Squires, Bethel is passionate about people and helping them to become fully committed followers of Christ.

Pastor Ken Squires and his wife, Danice, come with more than 30 years of ministry experience. They are passionate about life application Bible teaching and creating strategic environments that make faith real and alive every day. They are skilled in developing a church culture that grows around a common vision. Their leadership gift encourages followers of Christ to find their mission in Christ.
Ken's newest love is missions and mountaineering all at the same time. Yearly, he takes church leaders to Nepal for elevated ministry and high-adventure climbing.
Ken served as Lead Pastor of Marysville First Assembly in Marysville, WA, for 16 years and as Executive Pastor at Visalia First Assembly in Visalia, CA, for 3 years. He has a Doctorate of Ministry from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, CA, as well as a Master's of Divinity and a Master's of Arts in Religious Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, TX.
Ken and Danice met and were married in the great state of Texas. They have been married for more than 30 fun and crazy years. They love ministry, missions and traveling. But their greatest love, next to God, is their children. They have four wonderful kids, a son-in-law and a daughter-in-law: Kenny (Caitlin), Rebekah (Spencer), Jesse and Joseph.
