Who we are
Bethel Lutheran Church of Colorado Springs (we usually just refer to it as Bethel) is located 1.5 miles east of the intersection of Academy Boulevard and Austin Bluffs Parkway in Colorado Springs, CO. Founded in 1982, we are a Bible-based, family friendly, multigenerational congregation of people who love and serve each other, give willingly of our time and treasures, and truly believe we can be a positive change in our world. We believe in the Triune God, the Apostle’s Creed, and Luther’s Small catechism. Sunday morning activities include group worship, adult education, and children / youth Sunday School. Junior high and senior high youth groups meet weekly for social activities and religious education.
We have a servant’s heart. We participate in ministry opportunities in our community such as Partners in Housing, Family Promise, and Hope Kids. We have programs and activities for every generation and interest. Bible study groups for men, women, and couples meet regularly.
Our loving preschool teachers nurture and educate toddlers who are one or two years away from kindergarten.

At Bethel we love our kids and see them as an important part of our church! We strive to provide programs, events and services that capture the attention of today’s kids and share the love of God in memorable ways that are engaging for all ages!
2021-2022 Children's Sunday School Program - Bethel will offer the 'What's in the Bible?' series for Pre-K through 5th grade in the High School Room from 10:20 - 11:20am. We will bring the entire Bible to life for families through hands-on activities and DVD lessons, from Genesis to Revelation. The lessons are focused on giving kids a clear understanding of their own faith and to provide them a foundational knowledge of the Bible. So that their faith can launch them on a lifelong walk with God and journey that will change them and change the world around them.

Confirmation Class (For 7th graders and up): Join us for our Confirmation class in the Middle School Room. The class will start on time at 10:20am so don’t miss out! This year the cycle of teaching is about HIS STORY - the Bible. The Bible is a very exciting story when we look at it as his story, not as a book of rules, but a book about relationships, failure, success, murder, romance, love, sacrifice, and adventure of faith!

Bethel Lutheran Church History
I have been a member of Bethel Lutheran Church for over thirty years. One word describes our congregation, FAMILY. With the help of our friends here at Bethel, my wife and I raised our kids and sent them into the world. Along the way we helped other folks raise and send their families. Now that our kids are far away, the people here are our family. We mentor and support the younger families coming after us. We love and support each other as we deal with our own health issues, the loss of spouses, and the problems of aging parents. Sunday mornings are family reunions. Check us out at www.bethellutheran.net then JOIN US!
If you are already a member of the Bethel family, share this with 5, or 10, or 15 people you would like to spend Sunday morning or Saturday evening with. Be bold. INVITE!!
We are a loving, multigenerational group of people who accept and support each other and the Colorado Springs community. We have a strong foundation in the Bible which is reflected in our outreach in the community. We have groups, programs, and activities for almost everyone. Check out the church calendar at our website to see which are for you.

Listen, my friend!
Listen, my friend! Your helplessness is your best prayer. It calls from your heart to the heart of God with greater effect than all your uttered pleas. He hears it from the very moment that you are seized with helplessness, and He becomes actively engaged at once in hearing and answering the prayer of your helplessness.
