Brigden United Church History
Brigden Pastoral Charge was established in 1925 when the Presbyterian and Methodist churches amalgamated. Brigden Methodist Circuit was established circa 1878, it included Waubuno and Bradshaw; it joined the United Church of Canada in 1925. Brigden Methodist Church was established circa 1878; it joined the United Church of Canada in 1925. Black Creek Presbyterian Church was established circa 1872; it closed in 1925.

Guthrie Presbyterian Church was established in 1884; it joined the United Church of Canada in 1925 and joined with the Waubuno Methodist Church to become Calvary United Church. Calvary United Church was established 1925, formerly Presbyterian and Methodist. Brigden United Church was established in 1925 when the Presbyterian and Methodist churches amalgamated.
