Who we are
Our Purpose
Mission Statement Knowing Jesus, making Jesus known, and connecting people to Jesus and one another.
Church Covenant
Having been led as we believe by the spirit of God, to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior, and on the profession of our faith, having been baptized in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, we do now in the presence of God and this assembly most solemnly and joyfully confirm our covenant with one another, as one body in Christ.
We engage, therefore, by the aid of the Holy Spirit, to walk together in Christian love, to strive for the advancement of this church in knowledge, holiness and compassion, and to sustain its worship, ordinances and doctrines. We will contribute cheerfully and regularly to the support of the ministry, the expenses of the church, the relief of the poor, and the spread of the Gospel throughout all nations.
We also promise to maintain, as far as possible, family and personal devotion; to bring up any who may be under our care in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, and by a pure and loving example to seek the salvation of our family, friends and acquaintances; to be just in our dealings, faithful to our promises and zealous in our efforts to advance the kingdom of our Savior.
We will rejoice at each other’s happiness, and endeavor with tenderness and sympathy to bear each other’s burdens and sorrows; to remember each other in prayer; to aid each other in sickness and distress; to be slow to take offense, but always read for reconciliation.
We will, when we move from this place, as soon as possible, unite with another church where we can carry out the spirit of this covenant and the principles of God’s Word.
May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with us all.
Amen.

Burnt Hills Baptist Church History
The Burnt Hills Baptist Church was organized in 1783 by pioneers as they moved westward from the church in Rhode Island which was founded by Roger Williams. A church building has existed on the present site since 1801. While we are a church with a long and rich history, we seek to bear a relevant contemporary witness.
We host and support local groups and organizations including Council Meadows – Senior Housing, the Ballston area Ecumenical VBS, and the Clock Group. Some of our ministries include Migrant Ministries, Samaritan’s Purse, Camp Pathfinder, 4 ABC National Offerings, Scholarships to High School Seniors, Salvation Army, City Mission of Schenectady, Schenectady Inner City Mission, Ellis Hospital Chaplaincy, Baptist Nursing and Rehabilitation, Community Human Services, Home Furnishings, American Baptist Churches / New York State, Springbrook, American for Christ, One Great Hour of Sharing, World Mission Offering, Retired Ministers and Missionaries, and the local food pantry.
The church has a strong commitment to local, national and international mission and service, supporting denominational, ecumenical and community agencies.
