Who we are
We are so happy you stopped by to visit Calvary Baptist Church, in Clayton Delaware. We would like to invite you to join us for Sunday School, and Morning worship this Sunday. Other opportunities for growth are offered at Wednesday evening and Tuesday Morning Bible studies and discipleship classes. We teach and preach from the King James version of the Bible, because we believe it is the most accurate translation from the Greek and Hebrew languages, and that it is the preserved Word of God. We believe in the Virgin birth, the death burial and resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ. You will receive a warm welcome, from our congregation, and enjoy christian fellowship and a message , directly from God’s Word.

Pastor Hadley was born in Claymont, DE. He is a twin, and middle child of the late Betty and Dale Hadley. Pastor Hadley received his secondary education at John Dickinson High School, in Wilmington, DE. He is retired from the Delaware State Police . Pastor Hadley received a Bachelor degree in Pastoral Studies from Mid-Atlantic Baptist Schools. He is the recipient of a Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling, from Liberty University.
Near the end of his service with the Delaware State Police Force, Pastor Hadley was called to full time ministry. He pastored his first church in Point of Rocks, MD. In 1991, Pastor Hadley stated a new work in Sharpsburg, MD, sponsored by the First Baptist Church of Green Valley, in Monrovia MD. Pastor Hadley remained at First Baptist Church of Sharpsburg, until August 2003. He moved to Delaware, where he worked as a counselor at Union Hospital in Elkton, MD. During this period he also was teaching Adult SS class, and Bible Institute, every week, at Middletown Baptist.

In 2013, Pastor Hadley accepted the call to pastor Calvary Baptist Church, in Clayton, DE. Under his leadership, the Church is committed to supporting missions, spiritual growth, stronger prayer life, evangelism of the lost, and emphasis on expanding our knowledge of God’s Word, through many opportunities for Bible study and discipleship, for our members.

With us night and morning
By gracious powers so wonderfully sheltered, and confidently waiting come what may, we know that God is with us night and morning, and never fails to greet us each new day. Yet is this heart by its old foe tormented, still evil days bring burdens hard to bear; Oh, give our frightened souls the sure salvation for which, O Lord, You taught us to prepare. And when this cup You give is filled to brimming with bitter suffering, hard to understand, we take it thankfully and without trembling, out of so good and so beloved a hand. Yet when again in this same world You give us the joy we had, the brightness of Your Sun, we shall remember all the days we lived through, and our whole life shall then be Yours alone.
