Who we are
Our church is a mix of young, middle age and older people. To be truthful we have more older people than younger. Part of the reason for this is the migration of the younger generation for education, work, etc. We are in a rural setting. While we do not have all the amenities of a big city we are not far from Sturgeon Falls, Sudbury or North Bay.
The tourist love it here in the summer time. We would love if some of them came and stayed but truthfully, many only do this when they retire. It is peaceful and tranquil all year round. There are lakes, fishing, skiing in the winter time and much, much more.
There are other churches in the area which gives you a few options from a Catholic Church, to a Community of Christ Church to ours. Calvary Church. A full gospel, Independent Assembly.
No, we are not a "noisy" bunch though we are not afraid of noise. We are however, a people who love each other like one big family, we worship God in spirit and in truth and you will be welcomed with a friendly smile, a hug or hand shake and perhaps even a lunch if you happen in on fellowship lunch Sunday. In either case, coffee and tea and a sweet snack is always available before Sunday morning service starts.
Come as you are. Our dress code is simple. Wear clothes so that you are covered up appropriately for a Sunday morning service.

Calvary Church History
While it is true Calvary Church began years ago as a "Mennonite Congregation", this has changed over the years. While we still appreciate our foundation laid by the Mennonite's we have moved on. Our culture has changed. Our beliefs have changed somewhat and we are more like a "Pentecostal" church now than we care to admit. Not that there is anything wrong with that, except, we are not Pentecostal. We are an Independent Full Gospel Assembly.
