Who we are
Our Mission:
Connecting people to Christ and to one another.
God instituted the church as soon as Peter made his good confession to Jesus: "You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God" (Matthew 16:16). We follow in these footsteps today, calling others to know God through His Word: the written Word, which is the Bible, and His living Word, Jesus Christ. Our call is to believe in what God has revealed, to make known to our community what God has declared, and to connect others to God in faith and obedience.
To help us follow God's call more clearly, we pay attention to six Core Connections at Central to make sure everything we do lines up with our mission. Read more about each of our Core Connections below!
Our Beliefs:
Trusting in what God has revealed
GOD
We believe in one God, the Creator of the universe and the Author of life, who is all-powerful, all-knowing, and all-present.
Genesis 1:1, 2:4; Psalm 33:6; John 1:1-3; Ephesians 1:11
Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, both fully divine and fully human, … without sin to be our Lord and Savior. He is the living Word of God, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin. He died for the sins of humanity, was buried, and rose from the grave. Through Jesus Christ we are saved, reconciled, and brought to eternal life.
John 1:14, 3:16; Colossians 1:15-17; Hebrews 1:3
The Holy Spirit
We believe in the Holy Spirit as the abiding and indwelling presence of God who is our Helper, Comforter and Guide.
Ezekiel 36:27; John 14:17, 26; Romans 8:9-11; 1 Corinthians 3:16
The Trinity
We believe that God eternally exists and manifests himself in the Father, the Son and in the Holy Spirit.
Matthew 28:19; John 14:26; 1 Peter 1:2
Bible
We believe the Bible to be the fully inspired Word of God and serves as the final authority in all matters of faith and practice.
Psalm 119:105; 1 Timothy 3:16-17
Salvation
Our eternal salvation comes solely through Jesus Christ who is the way the truth and the life. Through the blood of Christ, who died upon a cross for our sins, we receive forgiveness, reconciliation and eternal salvation.
Luke 3:6; John 5:24, 10:9; Acts 4:12; Romans 5:9, 8:34; 1 Corinthians 1:21
Church
We believe the church is called to be the body of Christ on earth. Empowered by the Holy Spirit, the church is called to serve under the mandate of the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) and obey the rule of the Great Commandment (Matthew 22:37-40). The church is called to worship God, observe the ordinances of Holy Communion and believer's baptism, study the Word of God, and serve the needs of others.
Holy Communion – We believe that Holy Communion is open to all who believe and have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Baptism – We believe in believer's baptism by immersion unless it is physically impossible to be immersed.
Humanity
We believe that all people were created in the image of God and called to have a relationship with God. We believe that human beings were born into a sinful world and are in need of a Savior who can reconcile them to God. All human life is of inestimable worth from conception through death and all should be afforded compassion, love, kindness, and respect.
Genesis 1:27; 2 Samuel 9; Matthew 1:20; Luke 6:31; Galatians 1:15
Marriage
We believe in biblical marriage. God's intent and design for sexual intimacy places it within the context of marriage between one man and one woman.
Genesis 2:22-24; Matthew 19:4-6

Central Christian Church Service Times
Sunday Morning Service: 9:00am
Our Sunday morning worship service begins at 9:00 am, lasting about and hour and ten minutes. The music in our service combines traditional hymns with current Christian songs. We also regularly enjoy special musicians, and children join our services weekly for a special message geared for them. Some people dress in suits and ties or pretty dresses; others dress in polo shirts and blue jeans. Wear what you like. What matters more is that you are here to worship God with us.
It's been more than 7 years since the last service times update. Please make sure to contact the church to confirm service times.
