Who we are
Shrine Chapel of Our Lady of Orchard Lake
The Chapel is located at the exact center of the Orchard Lake Schools. It is a symbolic remembrance that the Holy Eucharist is the centrality of our lives. Built in 1962, the Chapel is dedicated to Our Lady of Orchard Lake, queen of Poland and our patroness. Two natural materials, wood and stone, compose the building. Warm, deep, sedate colors are used throughout the structure. Pennsylvania fieldstone accentuates the wood grains. African mahogany is used on the wall panels, doors, and millwork. The curved beams and roof purlins, consisting of laminated Oregon Douglass fir, convey an atmosphere intended to resemble hands clasped in prayer looking heavenwards.
Our Mission
To foster Catholic identity in the spirit of St. John Paul II at the Orchard Lake Schools by providing liturgical celebrations and spiritual guidance to the internal community (students and staff) as well as outreaching the community at large and to promote Polish Catholic spirituality and traditions.

Open our ears.
Blessed Lord, open our ears to hear what Thou speakest and our eyes to see as Thou seest. Give us hearts to beat in sympathy with Thine at the sight of every little child; and above all, our Lord, to understand and experience how surely and how blessedly Thou fulfilest Thy promise, "Whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me."
