Chapel of St Luke Service Times
Sunday
Light Supper Service
The Light Supper Service is a contemplative communion service. It features music and chants, readings, prayers, reflective silence (in which prayers are offered with incense) and the Eucharist. The service is followed by a pasta supper and a discussion of the gospel passage (although often we deviate onto any number of topics!). Every second Sunday of the month this service is replaced with Holy Ground at Exeter Cathedral, which we also warmly welcome the community to attend.
Every first third fourth and fifth Sunday at 7:00 PM for 1 hour
Monday

A peaceful way to start the working day, morning prayer is part of the daily rhythm of prayer and worship at St Luke's (Chapel). It includes a psalm, Bible readings, responses and prayers, and is followed by tea and biscuits at the back of the (Chapel) for anyone who does not have work or lectures immediately afterwards.
Every Monday at 8:30 AM for 25 minutes

Contemplative Prayer
Contemplative prayer is an opportunity to rest in, and be strengthened by, prayer in the middle of the day. There is an extended reflective silence following the day's reading. As a short and minimalist service, it is also an ideal way for people new to the idea of faith or church to approach and put their thoughts before God.
The service is followed by "Luke's Lunch" with the Chaplain, and so perfect if you have a long day ahead!
Every Tuesday at 12:30 PM for ½ hour

Teach us, good Lord, to serve Thee as Thou deservest: To give and not to count the cost; To fight and not to heed the wounds; To toil and not to seek for rest; To labour and not ask for any reward, save that of knowing that we do Thy will.
