Good Shepherd Parish is now permitted to resume weekday and weekends masses at both locations. To attend weekend Masses, you must register in advance.
It’s important to emphasize that if you are not feeling well, you are not permitted to enter the church and should remain home. Anyone who comes to Mass must wear a mask during Mass and give their name(s) and contact information which is required by the province in case any tracing should need to be conducted.

Church of St. Thomas Aquinas History
In 1919, a group of Catholic laymen petitioned Archbishop McCarthy to open a new church in the West End of Halifax to relieve pressure on St. Mary’s Cathedral. On July 20th of the same year, the cornerstone of St. Thomas Aquinas Church was laid. In 1952, Archbishop McNally announced the establishment of Canadian Martyrs Parish to relieve overcrowding at St. Thomas Aquinas and St. Mary’s.
