Who we are
On April 15, 2012 our parish was received, individually and corporately, into the Catholic Church under the provisions of the Apostolic Constitution (AC), Anglicanorum Coetibus, issued in November 2009 by Pope Benedict XVI. Our service of reception, conducted by Ottawa Archbishop Terrence Prendergast, SJ took place at St Patrick's Basilica with some 700-800 supportive Catholics and friends in attendance.
We are now part of the Catholic Church, while being permitted, under the provisions of the AC, to conduct our services using the Anglican Use Mass. This is based on the Book of Divine Worship, altered to be in concord with the revised Roman Canon (2010), and the Canadian version of particular prayers of the people from the Book of Common Prayer (Canada 1962).
