Who we are
South Scarborough Churches Amalgamate
In June, 2011 the congregations of St. Crispin, St. Giles, St. George and Epiphany voted to amalgamate their resources. As of September 1, 2011 they have become one congregation.
The Rev. David Howells was appointed Priest-in-Charge of the newly amalgamated church as of September 1, 2011. David Howells with the assistance of Helen Bradley, Brian Prideaux and Harold Shepherd worked on the task of moving 4 congregations into one during the month of September. On September 30, 2011 Brian Prideaux and Harold Shepherd ended their positions as Associate Priest; Helen Bradley continued as Associate Priest until her retirement on December 31, 2011.
Grace Church in Scarborough celebrated their first service as one congregation on Sunday, October 9th at the site of the former St. Giles, 35 Kecala Rd., Scarborough.
Construction of the new church is now completed. The official opening was January 25th, 2014.
