Who we are
We are an Episcopal expression of the Jesus Movement. We believe that everyone is a beloved child of God. We strive to see the face of God in each other and everyone we meet. We are not perfect, but we try. We are a devoted to each other and to Christ as we “walk each other home.” Our baptismal covenant unites us with the life of Christ. We believe that everyone has a gift from God and sharing our gifts enriches our community. Our faith is based in scripture, tradition, and reason. Our liturgy is Eucharist-centered and music is a vital part of our worship.
Good Shepherd is part of the Episcopal Church of the USA, but you certainly don’t have to be an Episcopalian to come to Good Shepherd. In fact, many of our congregation grew up in another denomination (the service is very similar to the Catholic Church). They may have come to visit, looking for a new place to worship or a good place to bring their family or any number of other reasons.
Good Shepherd is a place where each week we are inspired and moved by sermons which touch our lives and our hearts. It is a place where we are blessed each week with incredible music that lifts our soul. It is a place of joy and laughter shared with a church “family” as close as our own. It is a place where people of all backgrounds, races, sexual orientation are welcomed without hesitation or prejudice. It is a place where children are taught and nurtured in the Sunday School and Music programs to grow up to be become incredible young men and women. It is a place where we have multiple opportunities to learn and deepen our understanding of God together, to serve others together and to have fun together in fellowship.
Good Shepherd is truly a special place where all are welcome at God’s table.

Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd Q&A
Question: What are your services like?
Answer: Our early service on Sunday and Wednesday Noon service are quiet (no music) with time for prayer and refection. Our late service on Sunday is filled with music, families, and celebration of our communion with each other. Whether it is through the music, prayer or preaching, God's word and the New Testament are at the center of all of our gatherings. The sermons are based on the readings for that week and are reflective, thought-provoking, and inspirational. They connect to our lives in real time and are free from much of the dogma found in 'organized' religion.Question: Where should I park?
Answer: Good Shepherd has ample parking on the east and south sides of our church. Handicap parking is also available adjacent to the main entrance.Question: Where should I go when I enter the building?
Answer: Please enter through the white glass doors on the east side of the building (not the red doors on the west side lawn). Doors are handicap accessible. Once inside we have greeters in the Narthex (lobby) who would be happy to answer any questions and help you find where you need to go.Question: Do you provide childcare?
Answer: For our tiny, more exuberant members we have a quiet room with a full view of the sanctuary and altar. Sunday School for toddlers and teens begins at the start of the later Sunday church service. Following the Offertory, the children are brought upstairs, and they process in together. Father Lance encourages everyone except parents to be seated, so that the children can spot where they are (this is supervised by both teachers and our ushers, to help assure that everyone gets where they need to be!)Question: What should I wear?
Answer: We are more concerned about you and your presence with us than we are with what you wear. There are no rules and you will see people in shorts, sandals and tropical shirts seated next to people in dress slacks, dresses, and ties.Church Address

I am in Thy Presence
Help me, Lord, to remember that Christianity is not to be confined to the church ... nor exercised only in prayer and meditation, but that everywhere I am in Thy Presence.
