Who we are
What a joy it is to introduce you to our church! You’ll discover that our passion is to provide a place where people just like you can have a life-changing experience with God. At City View Church, our doors are wide open to people from all backgrounds, regardless of where they are on their spiritual journey. We are a multi-cultural, life-giving church that has a strong relational emphasis because we believe that transformation happens best in the context of healthy, God-first relationships.
Gospel-Centered Mission
Life is the constant process of expressing and extending worship. Every thought, every word, every desire, and every deed involves the ascribing of infinite weight and worth or value—or, GLORY. Everything we do is an expression of our allegiance, whether it be to our Creator or to His creation. It is God alone however, who is worthy of this worship.
Worship is related to every area of our lives. We are called to eat, drink, speak, think, and work to the glory of God. “So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” (1 Corinthians 10:31 ESV). Since God claims authority over every aspect of our lives, worship cannot be narrowed down to a particular time, place, activity, or event. There are no neutral desires or deeds; everything is an expression of worship.
Our worship of God should then move us to live our lives on mission. In perhaps the most famous passage on mission, Jesus issues the Great Commission for His Church, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you…” (Matthew 28:18-20 ESV). In his book Multiply, Francis Chan says, “From the beginning of Christianity, the natural flow of being a disciple has always been to make disciples of Jesus.” When Jesus called His first disciples in Mark 1:17 He said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you become fishers of men.” We are to become better disciples through love for God and love for others by equipping and empowering others to do the same. We are called to live on mission by extending The Gospel of life to a dead world.

Teach us to serve Thee
Teach us, good Lord, to serve Thee more faithfully; to give and not to count the cost; to fight and not to heed the wounds; to toil and not to seek for rest; to labour and not to ask for any reward, save that of knowing that we do Thy will, O Lord our God.
