Who we are
We are a Christian church, a community of people committed to the worship of the Triune God of the Bible. Since God loved us to death we seek to love one another to Life. Since our utmost desire is to become Christ’s living Word in our communities, we strive to speak God’s truth in love in our marriages, families and all other relationships.
We define our lives by the truth of God’s Word. The life of our community is centred on the process of hearing from God from His word and then speaking for God, using words where necessary.
We believe that since all Christians are called to make disciples of all people everywhere, each one of us is an indispensable partner in God’s family. We live through the hands and feet of men, women and children who choose to serve others for Christ’s sake.
We do not have a full-time paid pastor. We have leaders who help us to remember our mission and oversee the life of our community. We have competent men and women who equip us for the mission. We work together, helping each other to use the gifts which God has given to us by his Holy Spirit to build His Church.
If you are looking for a community of people who are committed to loving others to life, people who are committed to live by God’s Word alone, and people who are becoming God’s living Word in their neighbourhoods, we would love to share our lives with you.

Cobble Hill Christian Church Service Times
We meet for worship every Sunday at 9:45.
We begin our time together in a pre-service time of silent prayer punctuated by singing of the great hymns of our faith.
At 10:00 we engage in life-transforming worship framed by hearing God speak to us from his Word; speaking to one another through songs and stories that tell about God living with us and through us; and answering God in prayer, individual and corporate, alone and in groups with others.
Children stay with us in the service until the time when they are invited to leave for Sunday School.
A portion of our worship time together is devoted to the communication of God’s Word. We put a high premium on the teaching-learning process of biblical education, seeking a variety of ways to help our people to learn God’s truth for their lives.
In the course of a year, some of us meet for a regular Bible study. Sometimes, we set aside a few weeks to learn something together in an evening school of theology. At other times, we share meals together where we have an opportunity to get to the new people that God brings among us.
Most of the time, we try to spend time with each other. We believe that the best way to disciple one another is to become deeply involved in each other’s lives, in our homes.
