Who we are
OUR PURPOSE
Developing Transformed Lovers of God who Transform their World
WHO WE ARE
As a community, we partner with God to equip people to walk in the fullness of their purposes by helping them deepen their relationship with Jesus and others, by helping with restoration of the soul, growth in maturity and character development, and by empowering them to accomplish the things God has called them to do. When love is the foundation, it becomes a safer place to take risks, succeed and/or fail, but still grow. As people experience victories, they will take what they learn and lead others into experiencing God and the next steps of their destinies.
Community of Grace CORE VALUES
The Presence of God: The first commandment of loving God means that we first pursue living in His Presence enjoying Him. Everything revolves around His Presence. Worship is the practice of pursuing His Presence and should be expressed extravagantly. [“Man’s chief end is to glorify God, and to enjoy Him forever.” Westminster Catechism (1647)]
Honor: Honor acknowledges who people are as seen through the eyes of heaven which positions us to give them the value that they deserve, to receive the gift of who they are in our lives, and treat them accordingly. It includes effective confrontation, which is a key to sustaining an environment of grace. Honor has love as its foundation, is nonjudgmental, and respects each other even in differences.
Community and Family: Family is the government of Heaven. Expressed on this earth, the members of the body should relate to each other as family with love as our foundation. Fellowship to build a cohesive covenant community is vital to our mission. Community requires us to be hospitable, extending ourselves to each other.
Supernatural: Living in the supernatural should be normal and expected for followers of Jesus Christ. It includes things like healing, miracles, signs, wonders, angels, translations, transportations, resurrections, etc. Jesus said, “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go to the Father.” (John 14:12 NASB)
The Word of God: The Bible is our foundation of objective truth. His sheep can hear the voice of God but it doesn’t contradict the Bible. Prophecy is significant in the pursuit of God’s purpose though it doesn’t add to the Bible.

Food Pantry
Mission: Our ministry is to show the Love of God by providing food, love and prayer to those in our community and church who are in need.
Our Food Pantry ministry functions to bridge a gap for those whose limited income creates an inability to purchase food for themselves and/or their household. The majority of what we supply is in the form of canned and boxed food. We give produce and meats as we are able to get them from the Alameda County Community Food Bank and donations from Trader Joe's where we obtain the majority of our food. We are not a soup kitchen or a place for people to get their whole month's worth of groceries, but we serve as a resource when they run short during the course of the month. We currently provide these services to people on a once a month basis.
We believe that God is personally concerned with each person who comes to our food pantry. Therefore, prayer is offered as a way to bring our clients in touch with God, though it is in no way a requirement to receive food.
In addition to food and prayer, they may be in need of clothing, blankets, or a list of other local resources which we can also provide upon availability.
Our Food Pantry is open Wednesdays from 11:00 a.m. until Noon.(We are closed on 5th Wednesdays)

Zucchini Festival - Kennedy Park
Jesus said, "Freely you have received, now freely give."
Since He has paid for all healing, forgiveness, life, and a restored relationship with God, that is what we want to share with others.
For several years now, we have had a Healing Prayer booth at the Hayward Zucchini Festival offering:
• Healing Prayer
• Destiny Words - encouraging words that we believe God has for our guests
• Life Art - which are simple drawings with pencil or pastels that simply convey a blessing or a loving message from God to the individuals
• Dream Interpretation - we have a few trained dream interpreters, and we can do this upon their availability
We have seen many people be encouraged, receive renewed hope, and physical healings.
We get excited when people come by again the next year with eagerness and expectation to receive more! We have been told by a few that they even put their pictures up on their walls!
Easter Egg Hunt - Community of Grace
Usually, this happens the Saturday morning before Easter and is open for all children and their families to come. We have a short presentation in the main auditorium telling about the real meaning of Easter and Jesus' Resurrection. We then dismiss children by age groups and have literally hundreds of eggs hidden in different areas for those designated ages. One of the purposes that we ask for registration is so that we can determine how many eggs per child we have hidden! The egg hunt is followed by a lunch, popcorn, snow cones, outdoor games, prizes and jump houses!
It is a lot of fun for the whole family!
Fall Festival - Community of Grace
We host this on Halloween evening in order to provide a safe and fun alternative to neighborhood "trick or treating." We provide many games and opportunities for the children to collect all kinds of candy, of which there is no lack! Though the theme may change from year to year, nevertheless, our purpose to celebrate the Lord of all good things, remains the same! We provide a community-wide celebration of fun for children and parents with wholesome and safe activities.

Men's Ministry:
Here at Community of Grace, King's Men Ministry of Hayward, it is our desire to bring men together to encourage, have fellowship with each other and challenge us as men to be better husbands, brothers, and friends. We want to help men of God grow deeper in their walk with Jesus Christ.
The church desperately needs men to rise up and lead. Pastors, mothers, spouses, girlfriends, sisters, children...all are praying for the men in their life to experience revival in their relationship with God. Scheduled events are intentionally designed to provide an atmosphere focused on reviving spiritual relationships for men. Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you.Psalm 85:6
God's word speaks about restoration many times. King's Men Ministry is partnering with Ministry Alliance Network to create an environment and provide resources that can be the catalyst for restoring the heart and soul of a man. Restore unto me the joy of your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit. Psalm 51:12
Once a man has experienced revival through the work of the Holy Spirit and God has rightfully been restored to His place of authority over a man's life, that man is ready to be relaunched to serve in his home, community, church and workplace.
And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always to the end of the age. Matthew 28:18-20
We hope you can join us! As Kingdom Builders, we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. It is our relationship with God and each other that sets us apart from the spirit of this age and propels us into our destinies in God!
