Dress Code
We want you to feel comfortable so, the Church’s style is come as you are, ready to receive God’s word, and what He has for you. Most who attend are comfortable in a pair of jeans and sneakers but a few can still be found in dress slacks or a skirt. Here’s the most important clue about our style: be yourself.

Connect Church History
How it all started...
Mercy Church was founded in 1910 as a group of members came together meeting in homes. The group raised funds and built the first building on the corner of 5th and Broad. It was named Fifth and Broad Assembly of God. In 1928 brought the merger of Fifth and Broad and Northside Assemblies together. In 1949 a new building was constructed at the corner of Seventh and Bluff (the current Municipal Court Building). The name was changed to First Assembly of God. In 1977 a new building was built and the church moved to our current location of 3101 McNiel. During the following decades the church experienced growth and additional changes. But a general pattern of mercy appeared. In 2020, after much prayer and with an overwhelming majority of the church in agreement the name was changed to Mercy Church.
