Who we are
Hi, and welcome to Eden Church.
Denise and I are excited to be part of this great new adventure, here in Auckland New Zealand.
In the past six months, we have established an all new leadership team, a pastoral mentoring programme and implemented a clear strategy in which to achieve our vision. In the months ahead, we seek to further develop our leadership training programme with an internship programme, and a range of options to our regular Sunday services and mid week activities.
In April we commenced our Sunday evening service 5 LIVE. A one hour contemporary style meeting, which is thriving and experiencing a real presence of The Holy Spirit, spontaneous and vibrant worship with amazing testimonies of Gods healing power. We are excited at where God is taking us.
Our second Living Essentials Course commences in September and the graduates of LE will join further graduates of the KINGDOM LIFE course which commences in February 2018. This will conclude with a week of prophetic ministry and presbytery. Both courses will run in conjunction with our leadership school.
Eden Kids is a new initiative which provides care and development, for our Eden Kids, spirit soul and body. This programme really excites us all, and it is growing numerically and thriving. The programme is divided into three components where contemporary worship, practical and enthusiastic teaching with FUN and GAMES...literally! Our children's ministry team are continually striving to provide innovative tools and materials to supplement their creativity and passion. All our workers comply with our child protection policy and are continually being supported to excel in this precious ministry.
Plans are underway to establish a vibrant team of focus and growth groups in the region, with combined evening meetings in the community. We are all excited at the amazing growth and frequent salvation's we are seeing, and our Club 180 programme is ensuring we provide good steady growth for our newcomers.
Denise and I have been in full time ministry since our ordination in 1985, where we were Pastors with The New Life Churches and LIFE church of NZ. Since then, we have pastored in NZ, UK, And OZ. with ministry in over 20 Nations.
Our passion (and belief) is in the local church and in the realm of Evangelism, Team development and Church planting. We love praying for people and have seen some miraculous Healing's.
We have four children and have been married for 43 yrs and presently live in Central Auckland Our Values For Church Life: 1. Our emphasis is on the individual not numbers (Growth is a bi-product of life)
2. The church is people, our emphasis is on having time for making friends.
3. Real people being so, where they are at but getting better and becoming whole
4. Having a practical approach to our spiritual life
5. Acceptance of self and others is the basis of healthy relationships
6. A team approach to building the kingdom, not a select few
7. Able to present who we are in a contemporary way, without losing truth
8. Freedom to live an empowered Christianity free of legalistic expectation
9. Programmes, Services, Activities and Schedules, should build us up, not wear us down
10. Leadership Is a Function not a title, ones gift should be deployed to build and empower

Children our our future. The most innovative ministry we need in church life is our kids ministry. It should never be a babysitting service, but a place where the transforming life of Christ should be taught and experienced.
Developing character, and Godly values whilst having an awesome time, is our focus. Children are our potential leaders and our kids programmes are committed to supporting parents in equipping their kids to live in a the world around them.
