Who we are
Welcome To Elizabeth Chapel
“Do all the good you can. By all the means you can. In all the ways you can. In all the places you can. At all the times you can. To all the people you can. As long as ever you can.” -John Wesley
Our Mission & Vision
We are a congregation of the United Methodist Church. Our mission is to be and make disciples for Christ of all people. We do this by following and sharing the "3 Greats”:
Great Commandment — "Loving God and neighbor" (Matthew 22:36-40) Great Compassion — "Giving to the least" (Matthew 25:35-40) Great Commission — "Go, make disciples" (Matthew 28:19-20) Baptize them, Teach them
The mission of Elizabeth Chapel UMC is to proclaim Jesus Christ as Lord in word and deed, to educate others in regard to his teachings, and to evangelize all whom we can, with His marvelous and amazing grace. Our vision is to be a family in Christ actively working together to strengthen individuals and families in faith by extending God’s grace to all.

Elizabeth Chapel United Methodist Church History
The first Elizabeth Chapel Church was erected in 1892 on an acre of ground given by Mr. & Mrs. Elkana A. Morrell on Beaver Creek below Thomas Bridge, under the pastoral leadership of the Reverend E.C. Roderfer. The Reverend William W. Pyott dedicated the Church in late 1892 or early 1893. Elizabeth Chapel received its name from Elizabeth Dungan, who wanted a community church to serve the community.
