Who we are
As Pastor, I would like to welcome you to Emmaus Catholic Parish!
We are always grateful for new faces who help to make our parish even more vibrant than it has already become. It is my heartfelt hope that you will feel welcome here and will want to make Emmaus Catholic Parish - whether you most often attend our church in Lakeway or our chapel in Spicewood - your home church.
There are many opportunities to become involved, from learning to teaching to serving to volunteering. As you can see from the ministry listings, there is something for everyone! Please feel free to call the office if you would like more information on anything Emmaus has to offer or with any other questions you may have.
I would like to introduce you to our pastoral staff. I serve as pastor of Emmaus Catholic Parish. Our parish is also served by our Parochial Vicar, Fr. Harry Dean, and two deacons: Terry Guilbert and John Hill. We are fortunate to have the assistance of two retired priests, Fr. Larry Connelly and Fr. Jim Evans. Please introduce yourself to us after Mass or anytime you see us.
Our faith teaches us that we do not land in a parish by chance, but rather, God calls us to a particular place for a specific purpose. Your presence at Emmaus will not only benefit you as a Catholic, but all of those around you as you discover and live out God’s call for your life.
Welcome to Emmaus...we are blessed to have you here! Yours in Christ,
Rev. Samuel L. Hose, Pastor

Let no darkness overtake me
Visit, I beseech thee, O Lord, this habitation with thy mercy, and me with thy grace and salvation. Let thy holy angels pitch their tents round about and dwell here, that no illusion of the night may abuse me, the spirits of darkness may not come near to hurt me, no evil or sad accident oppress me; and let the eternal Spirit of the Father dwell in my soul and body, filling every corner of my heart with light and grace. Let no deed of darkness overtake me; and let thy blessing, most blessed God, be upon me for ever, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
