Who we are
Evangelical Christian Church is a Christ centred and family oriented church; a place where people experience a personal relationship with Jesus, connect with other believers and are empowered to live the life of hope, faith and love.
Our doors are open for everyone. So, welcome!
Our vision is to present the message of the Gospel (Good News) to the people in Australia and across the world. Jesus said, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature!” (Mark 16:15)
We follow the teachings of the Scripture and believe that the Word of God is applicable to everyday life. It inspires us to be all that God wants us to be.
“All scripture is divinely inspired, is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. ” (2 Timothy 3: 16,17)
Knowing God and understanding his Word brings hope, and gives us a purpose for living. Consequently, once we experience God’s love, we are able to love people around us because of the power of the Holy Spirit that is in us. Loving People, Bringing Hope is at heart of our church, which you’ll notice as soon as you enter the church.
We are actively involved in various mission fields and support missionaries around the world. We believe that even if we cannot go personally, we can still take part in bringing good news and encouragement.
The sermons are held in Croatian with English translation or vice versa and consist of worship, preaching of the Word of God and fellowship at the end of service.
The bookshop is open on Sunday mornings. We offer Christian literature in English and Croatian language. Bibles and certain other Christian materials we have available in many other languages. The church is engaged in many activities which include: prayer and healing meetings, Sunday school for children, youth activities, excursions, meetings for women, music, seminars and teaching, social activities and community outreach.
